چکیده

Construction projects usually involve signing various contracts with specific billing procedures. In practice, dealing complex contract structures causes significant problems, especially regard to timely payment and guaranteed cash flow. Furthermore, a lack of transparency leads loss trust. As result, late or non-payment is common problem in the construction industry. This paper presents concept implementing smart for automated, transparent, traceable processing projects. Automated achieved by combining Building Information Modeling (BIM) approaches blockchain-based contracts. Thereby, parts traditional are transferred contract. The set up using digital BIM-based tender documents contains all relevant data financial transactions. Once contracted work has been accepted client, payments can be made automatically via authorized institutions. describes framework, referred as BIMcontracts, container-based exchange, management workflow. It discusses industry-specific requirements blockchain storage explains which technical software architectural decisions were made. A case study used demonstrate current implementation concept.

Using Blockchain and smart contracts for secure data provenance management

Blockchain technology has evolved from being an immutable ledger of transactions for cryptocurrencies to a programmable interactive environment for building distributed reliable applications. Although, blockchain technology has been used to address various challenges, to our knowledge none of the previous work focused on using blockchain to develop a secure and immutable scientific data provena...

Book-Smart, Not Street-Smart: Blockchain-Based Smart Contracts and The Social Workings of Law

This paper critiques blockchain-based “smart contracts,” which aim to automatically and securely execute obligations without reliance on a centralized enforcement authority. Though smart contracts do have some features that might serve the goals of social justice and fairness, I suggest that they are based on a thin conception of what law does, and how it does it. Smart contracts focus on the t...

Modelling and Experimental Testing of Asymmetric Information Problems in Lease and Hire Contracts (Based on Contract Theory)

This article aims to study lease and hiring contract in the Iranian-Islamic setting and analyze the asymmetric information problem in these contracts. For doing this, we study the characteristics of lease and hiring contracts in Iran (real world experimental characteristics that recognized in other studies), using library method, then we mathematically model different aspects of asymmetric info...

Evaluation of Logic-Based Smart Contracts for Blockchain Systems

While procedural languages are commonly used to program smart contracts in blockchain systems, logic-based languages may be interesting alternatives. In this paper, we inspect what are the possible legal and technical (dis)advantages of logic-based smart contracts in light of common activities featuring ordinary contracts, then we provide insights on how to use such logic-based smart contracts ...

Blockchain-based Smart Contracts: A Systematic Mapping Study

An appealing feature of blockchain technology is smart contracts. A smart contract is executable code that runs on top of the blockchain to facilitate, execute and enforce an agreement between untrusted parties without the involvement of a trusted third party. In this paper, we conduct a systematic mapping study to collect all research that is relevant to smart contracts from a technical perspe...
